Audi Q3 exterior

The exterior design of the Audi Q3 is dominated at the front by the large Singleframe grille with its vertical struts. The headlights and the rear lights are connected by the shoulder line to form a single design unit. The wheels can be selected from 17 to 20 inches from different variants.

Interior design of the Audi Q3

The interior of the Audi Q3 is characterised by quality, space and design. Finely finished materials, modern design and ergonomically designed controls create a pleasant atmosphere. Generous head- and kneeroom is made possible by the long wheelbase. As flexible as possible: The rear seat bench of the Audi Q3 can be moved by 15 centimetres in the longitudinal axis for more legroom or more storage space. The luggage compartment has a capacity of 530 litres. With folded backrests, this storage space can be extended to up to 1,525 litres.

The Audi Q3 Sportback combines the power and functionality of an SUV with the aesthetics and emotional appeal of a coupé. The flatly sloping D-pillars continue the elegant course of the low roof line. This then flows through into a distinctive roof edge spoiler. The side view highlights the coupé-like silhouette. A particularly high-quality eye-catcher is the large Singleframe grille with its octagon design.

Für den Audi Q3 gibt es unterschiedliche Motoren aus dem TDI- und TFSI-Segment. Besonders sparsam sind die TDI-Motoren aufgrund ihres hohen Wirkungsgrades. Mit hohem Druck wird der Kraftstoff hier in den Brennraum gespritzt. TDI bedeutet «Turbocharged Direct Injection», was mit Dieseldirekteinspritzer übersetzt werden kann. Die TFSI-Motoren sind turbogeladene Benzinmotoren. Die Abkürzung stammt vom englischen «Turbocharged Fuel Stratified Injection». Diese Motoren haben einen geringen Verbrauch und gleichzeitig ein hohes Drehmoment. Mit kleineren Hubräumen wird Kraftstoff gespart.

The Audi Q3 was launched for the first time in 2011. After the Audi Q7 and Audi Q5, it is the third SUV to be produced by Audi. Initially, the Q3 was built at SEAT in the city of Martorell in Spain. However, production moved to Hungary in 2018. The sporty version, the Audi Q3 Sportback, is also produced in Hungary. The Audi Q3 got a facelift in 2015. The fuel consumption of the engines was reduced. There were also various improvements to the design such as standard xenon headlights or indicators with a light show at the rear. The Q3 is part of the Q series from Audi. The Q stands for quattro and thus gives the Audi SUV series its name.
