In terms of technology and equipment, the exterior of the up to five-seater Caddy California is characterised by numerous new features: These include the optional electric closing aids for the sliding doors and hatchback as well as a particularly large panoramic roof with a glass area of 1.4 m2 that extends over the first and second row of seats. The Caddy California also features new and up to 18-inch light-alloy wheels, new LED headlights and LED tail lights. On board for the first time: the keyless start and locking system Keyless Access (Kessy for short).
Camping
The Caddy California offers you a comfortable sleeping area, a small pull-out kitchen and a storable folding table and chairs. A generous tent for four to six people, optionally available from Volkswagen Accessories, for connecting to the vehicle rounds off the overall concept.
At 1980 mm x 1070 mm, the spacious and comfortable rear bed in the new Caddy California offers you plenty of room to lie down, relax and feel good. In conjunction with the optionally available panoramic glass roof, you can then wish the stars a good night. The separate small kitchen in the rear of the new Caddy California offers you practical storage areas. Two heavy-duty pull-outs mean you always have your cooking utensils under control when preparing small dishes on the 1-burner gas cooker. For even more space and outdoor feeling, the new Caddy California has something else to offer: The freestanding rear tent with large window areas can be set up in a flash thanks to air poles with pump and offers sleeping accommodation for four to six people. The tent can be easily extended and connects directly to the rear of the vehicle, but can also be detached if you want to go for a drive. So you always enjoy great freedom and high variability.
Caddy California Interior space
The interior of the Caddy California has been completely redesigned and extensively digitalised. For the first time, the mini camper will be available with optional digital instruments: the Digital Cockpit. The cockpit and infotainment form a state-of-the-art digital landscape (Innovision Cockpit). Numerous other controls have also been digitised: These include a button module for the light and vision functions multi-function steering wheel and direct access buttons for various menu functions. In addition, the Caddy California impresses with active passenger compartment ventilation, comfortable ergoComfort seats and a new seating concept: the seats in the second row of seats can be removed quickly and easily - giving you even more space for stowage in just a few simple steps.
