Interesting facts about the Audi e-tron GT

How long it takes for the battery of an electric car to be charged depends on various factors such as the ambient temperature or even remote-controlled air conditioning. Other crucial factors are the charging capacity of the station or socket, the capacity of the battery and the charging technology of the electric car. However, charging at a public charging station takes two to four hours on average.

Electric cars can’t be completely silent. New legislation in many markets makes fitting external speakers that generate some sort of noise essential, while on the inside, a little artificial sound is something the driver might find useful.

Both types are fitted with a charging socket, but otherwise they’re fundamentally different. The plug-in hybrid, sometimes referred to as a PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), combines a classic internal combustion engine with an electric motor which can be recharged from an electrical outlet and from energy recovered while driving. A PHEV can also be driven in purely electric mode, but the range is limited to 30-60 kilometres.

The Audi e-tron GT will have a range of up to 487 kilometres in the WLTP measurement cycle.

Audi guarantees a battery life of 8 years or 160,000 km.
